Dont Waste Your Money

We purchased an LG refrigerator in Nov 2022. Since owning it the freezer has been an issue. A lot of items were not remaining frozen when it was moderately full. We have since been storing any items in a separate freezer and only using it for ice ice cream and soups. We have tried troubleshooting changing temperatures and changing the air flow vents in the freezer and this unit wont even keep ice cream frozen. We have tried all combinations of air flow temperature settings and moving items around in the freezer for air flow. The vents are not blocked we deal with compressors and refrigeration issues all the time in the commercial restaurant we own. I believe the unit was made poorly and am seeking either a full refund or credit to purchase a better refrigerator. Based on the design of the unit I would assume this is not the first time youre getting a complaint about these types of units. I submitted a trouble request for service to LG over a month ago and have still not been contacted for service or repair.

Unhappy with Reversing the doors

Nicknames are too hard 2/3/2023

The refrigerator looks good and seems to cool okay but due to the placement it was necessary to reverse the doors. The quality of construction was lacking for this to happy. First it says to swap the levelers which sounds easy enough but the hole in the case to receive the leveler on the RH side was filled with hard foam insulation. The instructions were no help nor was spending 45 minutes with the technical assistance. I ended up having to lift the front up several inches and using small drill bits turning by hand until I cleared the threaded receiver enough to accept the leveler Second the same situation on the bottom of the doors existed. Moving the closures to the other side I found the holes to screw the brackets into place were never machines out from the molded plastic. I had to drill three holes out to mount the closure brackets on the bottom of both doors. Clearly a lack of quality in doing the construction completely.

Disapointment follow by Great Joy

Bought this refrigerator about 2 weeks ago plug it in and with in 12 hours the unit failed. Contacted the warranty department and within a few minutes the process started and with in a couple days we received updates and a promise of repair. The Technician Timothy Wilbanks arrived on time diagnosed the issue and with in 90 minutes had the unit up and running. This was a spare unit so time was not an issue. Timothy was very pleasant and knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do.

I bought this about a month ago to have an extra fridge/freezer in our basement. We wanted to be able to stock up on things when things go on sale and also have a backup in case our main fridge ever has issues. This is a very aesthetically pleasing unit and has a good bit of space. The controls are simple and the unit does its job. It started off being a great refrigerator but at the end of 7 months I had problems with the refrigerator not cooling. Took a while for LG to set up service and it took more time for the service technician to come to my place for repair. Fortunately my year was not up so the repairs was free. Looks pretty spacious but not worth your money fridge only work for one year. The compressor is bad and to repair is double the amount of what I paid for the fridge.

REFRIGERATOR DOOR WILL NOT SWING CLOSE WITHOUT SL

Delivered on Dec 7 replaced the next week. Door does not close on either unit. Home Depot came to repair said nothing wrong did not even really look at door. Said they all work like that and everyone complains. Repair company used by LG not getting back to me.

How cold is it

Bought this refrigerator on the 1st of December and let it find itself after a 24 hour break in time. Bone chilling cold in the refrigerator section at 37 degrees and approximately 0 degrees in the freezer. Without a doubt everything you could ask for in an appliance. Registration on line was painless and swift.

Nothing but problems

I bought the refrigerator 11 months ago and have been trying to get it fixed and Im still waiting. The freezer door opens when I close the refrigerator door . Ive had 3 different repair people and still have the same problem.

Smart looking refrigerator

I bought this refrigerator after a lot of research. We as consumers are at the mercury of all manufacturers. They apparently just dont last as long as they used to. So I broke it down to appearance no handles and the Energy Guide rating was lower than other brands. Also had fairly good reviews.Plus get a rebate from our electric company on this LG model.

Nice but not perfect

We bought this online right before Thanksgiving. Seems like an excellent refrigerator. More deep than wide. Shelves fit gallon containers. Cools really well. But no light in the freezer like my old one. LED lights in fridge that I dont know how you change if you have to. OVERALL so far only had it three weeks working really good.

Compressor Needs Replacement for a THIRD time

I will never purchase another LG appliance for any of my rental units ever again and will be sure to share this information with all of my peers in the real estate profession on how horribly manufactured LG refrigerators are not to mention their customer service. The amount of time I have already wasted in trying to get a technician to come fix this fridge for my tennats along with the amount of food wasted for the multiple times this fridge stopped working is ridiculous.
