I have owned this refrigerator for just under 3 years and have loved it. The Craft Ice Maker serves up CLEAR Ice Balls with no effort at all My beverage guests are so jealous. The self- contained ice maker in the door is a better design than the cubes stored in the freezer kind. It is easy to access to collect ice for a party and it makes lots fast when requested. The fridge tells me when to replace the filters they are easy to do. I use the OEM water filters for leak and problem free replacement. LG Customer Service was excellent on a recent service call.

Mostly fine for our needs

Works well. Bottom freezer has issues. Ice ball machine does not dispense ice without making a tremendous pounding noise and often even after all the racket there is no ice. We turned it off. Freezer door also appears to not always seal so we deal with frost on everything. Yet sometimes there is no frost. SO MANY CALLS FOR SERVICE and the best we got was an email telling us to put towels around the bottom of the refrigerator and defrost it. Thanks LG. Super helpful. No repair available in my area which is a fairly large metropolitan area. In the end we should have chosen another product.

Unreliable Refrigerator

This refrigerator is now about 2 years old. Since I have owned it it has is had 2 compressors installed Craft ice maker replaced control board replaced and the ice maker in the door replaced. This unit cant be depended on with any kind of food quantity thinking it might fail while we are not home. I would not recommend buying an LG refrigerator.

Excellent Fridge with Craft Ice Feature

I love this refrigerator. The Craft Ice automatic ice ball maker is a phenomenal success. My friends are all jealous of my ability to serve cocktails with ice balls instead of cubes with no extra effort on my part. The shelfs and door containers are easy to adjust and remove for cleaning. The shelves in the freezer are easy to maneuver and hold a lot of frozen foods. This is the shelf depth model which was necessary in our kitchen design and I would say that the volume is sufficient for two people in the household. We have a secondary fridge in the garage for things like beers and extra storage which this unit would not accommodate. I love the communication between the fridge and my phone app letting me know when to replace my filters and when a service call was needed. The Craft Ice maker sent a code that was not resolved on the phone so LG customer service sent a technician and replaced the unit with an updated one quickly and without charge. Overall previous reviews of this brand as it entered the market were mixed I consider the purchase and use 5 Stars so far. I have owned it for just under 3 years.

One reason I chose to purchase the LG refrigerator was its claim of quiet operation and I love that it is indeed very quiet I like the rest of its features as well. The craft Ice maker quit working after only about three months. LG quickly replaced it as it was under the one year warranty and it was easy to install but of course I question the long term reliability of the refrigerators components now.

Bad ice maker

I bought my refrigerator a year ago in July. I just recently had to have the icemaker/water dispenser unit replaced. Thankfully it was under warranty and there was no additional cost involved. Prior to that I have been pleased with my refrigerator. There is plenty of room for everything. I like the shelving on both doors so I have maximum space for food. The bottom freezer section/craft ice maker is impressively roomy and the craft ice is wonderful.

this refrigerator has a nice feature. In the freezer section is an ice maker that creates ice balls. However there is also a hammer arm that periodically wacks the ice balls for a full 50 seconds. You can here this wacking all over the house. I have brought this to the attention and have been assured a replacement is coming diys repair.

Not Recommended--Below Average Performance

We purchased this during the COVID supply chain disruptions when our old 15 year old refrigerator failed. Selection was limited so we purchased this higher priced LG. Disappointed The ice making capability of the door ice maker is very poor. The craft ice maker works intermittently. Plan on adding ice trays in the limited space freezer area if you use ice it will not supply enough ice for the two of us in the household. The warranty is useless and the refrigerator begins failing once the warranty is expired. Otherwise it is an average refrigerator. It is a very poor performer compared to the 15 year old refrigerator it replaced. It is a worse performer than the 25 year old refrigerator in the garage. I would never buy another LG refrigerator based upon my experience with this product.

We bought the LG refrigerator August of 2022 because of the great reviews and are extremely pleased with it. It looks so nice all the time no fingerprints only damp clean occasionally. Sometimes the chime that goes off if the door is left open too long is irritating but it does speed us up and warns us if we dont shut the door all the way. The temperature in the freezer as well as the refrigerator stays even through out although it did freeze our hard boiled eggs once because we had over filled the refrigerator and it couldnt circulate properly. I love that it lets us know when to change the filters and theres no malodorous smells inside We had only one problem with the instructions to change the water filter we didnt understand you need to push the symbol not the light on the door to remove the notice to change the water filter. LG sent a repair person and showed us what to do They came quickly and were very considerate and were we embarrassed but the instructions could have shown a picture where to push to cancel the warning light. Really pleased with this refrigerator Oh yes almost forgot we also love the spaciousness. The price is reasonable considering the quality especially when compared to other refrigerator with lower reviewss in the same price range.We also noticed a drop in our electric usage in the following months after installation. Sooo nice to have something working the way its advertised Thank You LG for making a great product

Horrible Model Craft Ice is unusable

Bright interior build quality is less than perfect as door dont line up completely. Biggest issue is related to the ice maker. The upper one is very small capacity if you use a lot of ice this is not the fridge for you. We ordered this model due to the craft ice capability in the lower freezer. We noticed a funny taste to the ice very plastic tasting. We called and complained and were told it will go away over time. Here we are over a year later and nothing has dissipated and the taste is still there. This really has made the lower ice maker useless. A lot of money for something that doesnt work or is completely useless due to horrible flavor...I would not recommend this model.

This refrigerator in adequate. The big weakness is the ice making capability/capacity. The door ice maker cannot produce enough ice for daily use. The craft ice maker works intermittently and produces low volumes. You will likely need to use freezer space for ice trays.Otherwise it is an average refrigerator- Not nearly as good as the old one we replaced. The warranty is useless.

We bought this refrigerator Sept 2021 it is probably the worst investment we have ever made It has been worked on 4 times since we bought it and recently the condenser fan burnt out. I have purchased another brand and as soon as it arrives we will that the large paper weight to the dump where it belongs Very unsatisfied with this Lg product.

Ice Maker Freezes Up

Fridge is nice but we have to remove and defrost the craft ice maker almost every month. We had it serviced and even the tech told us that we should expect this. Really pretty upset that I have become an LG repair man at home.

My family love this refrigerator. It work well except the buttom ice maker. LG replace the buttom ice maker 2 times in almost 2 years. Every time I call about the problem. LG has respond very quickly.

Weve had the refrigerator for several months now and were very happy with it. I like that it tells me when to change the water filter. The water tastes great the refrigerator works really well and it looks great in our kitchen.

Craft Ice Maker is a dud

We are now on our 4th craft ice maker in two years of owning this fridge. LG seems to have made no progress in a redesign that BestBuy and its repair people were told to expect. Now LG ignores my correspondence and is minimally responsive to its major seller Best Buy. No basis to trust LG or interest in buying othet LG products

I like everything about this refrigerator but there is a couple of things. 1 The Craft ice maker stopped making Ice LG repaired it promptly at no cost to me. 2 I keep getting a FF error if I reset it it goes away. I am nervous having 2 problems in the first year how long will this thing last?

Lots of storage

I wanted to create more space in the kitchen. Its amazing what getting a counter depth refrigerator will do for that. What is also amazing is that we can store more food in it than the regular depth side by side that we had before.

Weve been very happy with our refrigerator. A few weeks ago the water dispenser was dripping I reviewed the troubleshooting guide online and problem was resolved. Filter had recently been replaced air in the line followed very simple steps to resolve took literally 5 minutes. Just run water from dispenser as per their instructions I also monitor our LG appliances via LGThinQ. I ran the diagnostic and refrigerator was functioning properly so I felt that ruled out any major issues then I followed troubleshooting. Impressed with Online help available

Perfect size and capacity Refrigerator

We bought a full compliment of appliance in June 2023 and I am so satisfied at our selection. The quality of the appliance is great and works fantastic this refrigerator is counter depth but has a great amount of space In addition has 2 types of ice standard dispense in door and below craft ice cubes. So satisfied with the LG Brand quality and affordable for great product.

Great except for ice makers

Bought the fridge/freezer 6months ago and both the indoor and craft ice maker have malfunctioned. Really like the overall layout and functionality of the unit best we ever had and easy to clean. First technician said there were issues with the in factory installed ice makers and that the replacement units should take care of the problem. The first repair was done by LG technician brought replacement part with him The second repair was done by third party didnt bring replacement part even though LG knew what part was defective didnt like to have to make a second appointment.

Overall Happy - some minor annoyances

Have had for 6+ months ... enjoying the layout of the top French doors and bottom freezer which was a primary reason for our purchase. Fridge space is great the only challenge is for taller bottles which end up using the sliding shelf but then the block access to things behind it. Freezer space is a bit more challenging to use. The most significant annoyance is that both ice makers have stopped working and needed to be reset using some not-so-easy to find process. But when they are working things are good..

Working Well and LG Proactively Fixed An Issue

Our refrigerator has been functioning as expected over the first 6 months weve owned it. We definitely like the configuration of the refrigerator and its storage drawers. My only complaint is that the ice storage in the door periodically jams up with the ice cubes due to its smaller size contained within the door. There is no way to determine when this happens other that to realize you arent getting cubes and need to address the situation. I did want to compliment LG and their implementation of the Internet connectivity that is provided by the unit. The refrigerator notified LG that our large cube ice maker in the freezer itself had stopped working. We were called by LG to notify of the situation and since the refrigerator was under warranty they had someone replace with a newer ice maker.

Terrible Craft Ice Maker

After 2 years the craft ice maker has been replaced 4 times. Repair people say LG is working on a more dependable one but there is no evidence of that-even after emailing customer service executives who do not reply.
