VERY CHEAP PRODUCT WITH A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW

One STAR due to deign flaw. I wanted to replace the LG refrigerator that I bought 10 years ago which was a very high quality unit. I sought out the one that closely matched the appearance of that last model. Got it installed and I discover this is a very cheap product. The worst part is the design flaw where the right side door requires extra force to get it to close. Id say 3 to 5 lbs although I do not have a way to measure this. I am returning this refrigerator. Im shocked LG would think anyone would be happy with this design. Were it not of ratios design Id have lived with the overall cheapness but this flaw kills the purchase for me. See the video. WELL SO FAR I SEE NOW WAY TO ADD THE VIDEO UNLES IS WILL HAFE HTAT OPTION AFTER I HIT SUBMIT The question is will I get another LG to go to a different brand. I now question LG given the low quality I see on this unit.

Well built stylish appliance. Water and ice through the door is a nice feature and it works without dripping. Two small issues one the doors close very firmly and causes the unit to slip backwards the other is that both doors have to be opened to access the cold cut/eggs draw.

Like everything I buy I do my research. LG has a reputation for great electronics. I love how much room this fridge has. We are three adults sharing this refrigerator/freezer. We no longer have problems with room. The door icemaker is not intrusive so it doesnt take up much room. The freezer is huge. All in all Im very glad We bought this refrigerator/freezer. Consumer Reports comes through again. Another great LG product in the house.

This is ridiculous that something that is barely 1 year old needs fixed already. This is my first LG appliance and my last. I bought my refrigerator on July 12 2023 and on August 16 I had to have it fixed it was making a very loud noise. The motor and something else that was on aboard had to be replaced after only a little over a year. The vents on the doors were replaced because they were on recall. I really feel like it should have been replaced went to store next day mgr was in meeting and I havent been able to get back up there. I think the mgr in appliances is very knowledgeable and listened to his customers. I am however very dissatisfied with the quality of the refrigerator anything should last longer than a year. I didnt get the refrigerator I picked out when it was delivered the men said it had a dent had to be returned when they brought the one I have now I questioned that was told that they had upgraded me to a better refrigerator obviously that wasnt the truth Im not even sure if I got a new refrigerator since its has only lasted a little over a year I didnt receive my refrigerator free or at a discounted price I paid full price for it

ThinQ quad purchase. Stove microwave refrigerator and dishwasher 4/2024 The FFE error code on the refrigerator seems to be the #1 design flaw. The dishwasher has the drying failure. After waiting 2weeks with no refrigerator and the loss incurred while under manufacture warranty I can say we would not recommend the products. A handful of their CS team are inept and lie to appease. So many calls for true answers The LG company policy and part of the management want you to just be satisfied they paid for you to get it repaired in their timeframe which doesnt include weekends but the refrigerator doesnt take weekends off now does it. Compensation should be given for loss of products our dairy fruit formula and so on was just wastedbuying ice and coolers and everything else you may have done to just keep some normalcy while waiting for the technicians that they approve. *So In the year 2024*to be told to defrost your fancy freezer for 24 hours so your refrigerator may or may not get cold afterwards is unacceptable . The gas stove is has a great look grill plate yet hard to clean overall. Dandy microwave game system features you gotta figure them out. Again the dishwasher worked properly for 2 months. Use your own caution and always weigh reviews. This huge company didnt want to compensate kindly for our losses. Not everyone has $funds to throw away. The hard to find approved repair technician was a day later than expected and said whats one more day says the guy with a running fridge.pfft

Overall liking the fridge so far. Considerations for consumers and opportunities for improvement for LG include: 1. Too much temperature variation throughout cavernous refrigerator section confirmed using thermometers. Needs better distribution of cold air throughout 2. Cold air escapes fast - need to get in and get out. Discovered the need to set both refrigerator and freezer sections down as low they will go to maintain temperatures. 3. One of the refrigerator doors could use a more thoughtful storage compartment/space for small items. Prior fridge had a junk drawer in a door higher shelf that was perfect. 4. Ice compartment on the small size considering the overall size of this fridge. Also an annoying thing we have discovered is the right size of the ice storage compartment must get a little warmer and the ice there tends melt a little then clump together and wont drop when distributing ice cubes from the external door. Requires going into the ice compartment door every few days if we think about it and break up the ice which commonly causes us to scrape our hand knuckles on the tight space in the process.

I have had the French door refrigerator around 6 months now it has been nothing but trouble so far I have lost food 2 times now first time it quit cooling because they said it was not defrosting they told me to clean everything out of refrigerator and leave the doors open with power off lost over 300. In food this time second time cooling fan started sounding like airplane running called LG and was 9 days before a repair tec got there replaced fan back running and now got a vibration in back of refrigerator dealing with LG on warranty work has been a nightmare I hear the same reading of questions everytime when have trouble will never buy another LG PRODUCT AGAIN

I really wish we had the choice to give ZERO stars The technician from US Appliance finally made it out to my house AFTER SUPPOSEDLY being told what the ERROR code on my refrigerator was but yet his house call only lasted 15 minutes with telling me that he would need to order the part which would take 2 days AND THEN another WEEK to reschedule another visit to install said part I HAVE LOST HUNDREDS of DOLLARS losing Absolutely EVERYTHING in my refrigerator which is LESS THAN 1 YEARs OLD People BEWARE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING that is LG Brand They wont reimburse you for lost food unless you have purchased their premium warranty which is absolutely crap.

Awful Refrigerator and worse service

I bought this refrigerator in November of 2023 by June 2024 so less than 8 months old it quit cooling. Contacted LG went through all of the trouble shooting steps unplug the fridge for 24 hours and lots of other steps spoke with several people through the live chat and on the phone. It took a 4 days to get LG to agree to get someone to come look at it and fix the problem. It took another week for the Service repair to get to my home. They replaced a part on the fridge and told me to to unplug the refrigerator and allow it to thaw out for another 48 hours. I did what I was told to do and the refrigerator worked for about two more weeks and then the same issue started reoccurring. Contacted Lg again about the issue and was told to unplug the refrigerator for 16 hours. I unplugged the refrigerator for 16 hours plugged it back in and it still was not cooling correctly. Contacted LG to let them know. They told me that a service agent would be in contact with me. The service agent contacted me however they were extremely rude to me told me that I just needed to unplug my refrigerator for another 48 hours and it would fix the problem. I explained to her that I had already unplugged it once and that the repair was only two weeks old. There has to be something else going on and it needs to be looked at the service center refused to come look at the situation then quit answering my phone calls and text messages. Contacted Lg With no success. I have been waiting now for over a month for them to come and fix my refrigerator. It is still not cooling correctly. At one point I was told that a different service company would come out however they have never showed up or contacted me in anyway. I would not recommend LG to anyone. I paid $2000 for a refrigerator that clearly has an issue and is not a year old but LG continues to ignore me. If LG is willing to reach out to me and correct the situation I will be happy to retract this review.

I purchased this refrigerator on August 12 2024. The refrigerator is spacious maintains temperature and has a lot of nice features. Three minor things 1. The chilled water dispenser is only good for about one cup before the water is Luke warm. 2. Having one paddle for water/ice takes a little getting used too not as convenient as having one for water and one for ice. 3. The doors are to loose when they swing open I open the right side door next to a wall if its not held while opening it will eventually cause damage to the wall. Overall I would strongly recommend

Caution Caution Caution. This product does NOT have an ice maker in the freezer. I believe that LG is using deceptive marketing. I purchased this on July 20 2024. Please tell me how I am supposed to know that the freezer doesnt make ice. The freezer drawer has a place for ice. Im very disappointed. I contacted LG on lg.com via chat. The person said it should have an ice maker. I contacted Costco where I purchased it. They said it should have an ice maker and set up and appointment for a technician to come to my house. It was only when the tech called before they come that he told me that it doesnt have an ice maker in the freezer.

Purchased from Lowes three weeks ago and love it It is bright and spacious inside and the freezer drawer has ample space. It was super simple to set up the ThinkQ app for this and an over the range microwave convection air fry oven. Its heavy and built in to my cabinets so hope I dont have to move it.

We bought this Memorial Day weekend and are very happy with the refrigerator It is very spacious and allows you to have a very organized refrigerator. The slimline water / ice dispenser eliminates reduced space on your shelves and the additional drawer in the freezer allows you to keep frequently eaten items readily available.

This model--LRFS28XBS--was delivered in December. I am delighted with most features except the screeching alarm open alarm. I have worked in the music business for 60 years and my ears are sensitive to this kind of intrusive noise. I also am a test cook and spend time cleaning out and rearranging my fridge all the while with that annoying alarm screeching in my ears. I find it highly distressing and intrusive. Surely there is some way to turn it off. The thought that I paid to be tormented with this unwelcome racket adds to the annoyance. A totally useless and unwanted feature. I would welcome any guidance for turning this alarm off.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator from Lowes on 9/23/2023. It has not even been a year yet and on 8/3/24 a loud rumbling noise started coming from the back of the fridge. I contacted Lowes since I purchased the extended warranty but unfortunately that warranty doesnt start until the manufacturers warranty ends on 9/23/24. I had no choice but to contact LG. Their customer service is horrible. You get people who you can barely understand. My first contact was online with the chat on 8/4/24. After describing the issue the loud noise etc. I was told I needed to defrost it and that the noise was normal. I then called an 800 number to try to get assistance. She told me which buttons to push to get the error code and it was H5 E. I was told that a technician would call me to set up an appointment. On 8/5/24 I receive a call that an appointment had been scheduled and a tech would be out on 8/15/24 Ten days away That same day on 8/5/24 in the afternoon my fridge no longer produced ice the water dispenser in the door wouldnt work and a different error code was showing on the panel of FF E. I unplugged the fridge waited a while and plugged it back in. The code disappeared and I could at least get water again but no ice. That small relief was short lived though and less than a few hours the code was showing again. It is also now not cooling so I am going to lose all the food in the fridge and freezer. I tried to contact LG again on 8/5 via email. They responded today 8/6/24 saying they appreciated my patience but they couldnt get anyone out sooner as to try would result in another case number diagnosis etc all over again from the beginning which would cause further delays but that I was more than welcome to call US Appliance and they furnished a phone number. I have to wait until tomorrow to call US Appliance as they are closed now. In the meantime my fridge is now making a grinding noise on top of everything else. I will never again purchase LG anything.

I love my new refrigerator however it was a lot of extra trouble getting it up and running and cost us extra dollars. Once it was set up the store gave us a generous credit for our troubles which was nice. The LG fridge is everything I wanted the only problem being that the upper door does not shut automatically we have to make sure we push it closed.

I bought the LG French door ThinQ a little over a year ago. It has been a great buy. It has all space that we need. It has great features. I like the way the compartments are set up. This refrigerator is made with quality materials. I had researched a bit of different types of refrigerators. This was one of the better quality products for what I was looking for.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service horrible I had to wait on hold a very long time then phone hung up I called back to speak to a very rude forgein person. My appliances are under warranty no customer help or satisfaction. I supported LG by buying all my appliances and TVs. Customer service nothing but a headache. When I needed answers about my TV friendly knowledgeable when it came to my refrigerator brand new very rude. No understanding we cant help you go back where you bought it from for that reason I will never support LG again.

Icemaker makes very small cubes

I like it but dont love the ice maker. The cubes are small only about tge size of a Quarter. The ice doesnt drop into the bin in the freezerso I have to make ice the old fashion way.
