This dehumidifier works very well. It dehumidifies our whole house. We have a problem with dust mites and need to keep the humidity below 50%. It dropped the humidity in our house from about 56% to 41%.

Half the energy cost of my old unit

Costs half as much to operate as my old unit. New unit rated 4.1 amps, actual draw about 3.65A for 60 pints; old unit rated 7.5A drew 7.1A for 40 pint unit. Using KilAWatt monitor old unit cost me $56/month to run; new Frigidaire $26.78, so it will pay for itself in about 14 months vs old one! This unit COSTS MORE, but DO RESEARCH. This 60 pints at 4.1A rating is FAR better than any other I found. This is REAL efficiency and pays for itself in SHORT timeframe. Frigidaire should REALLY advertise this superiority as its "selling feature" including payback time!

Reasonably quiet, solid performer

This dehumidifier is easily maintaining the desired humidity level in my basement. The noise level is acceptable, even with the fan running at top speed. Vibration is minimal. And the unit is heavier than the other comparable capacity units I have owned suggesting, to me, that it's construction is more robust than usual and will prove more durable..

Disappointed at this price level

First the bad news...received unit a couple of days ago, waited two hours as per instructions after delivery...pressed power "on" button and...a 7 in the first digit of the digital display (nothing in the second digit), which changed to 6, then 5 as time went on. A tone when buttons pushed, but no indicator lights would function. Obviously defective display panel.Now the good news...unit performs its function of dehumidifying the air, and very well I might add. My basement (approximately 1000 sq. ft.) had a relative humidity level of 75% when I turned the unit on, and in about 4 hours had lowed that level to below 60%.Since I have medical problems, I will not be carrying the unit up the basement stairs to return it, since it does "work". It's just a sad testament to the poor quality control all manufacturers seem to employ in this day and age. I will just turn it on when the humidity is high, and shut it off when the level has been reduced. Automatic features are convenient, but in my case, not actually necessary. I attached a garden hose for continuous draining and am happy to report no leaks, but I did use "Teflon" tape on the drain treads. Time will tell of long term reliability and whether my electric bill goes up or down in comparison to my last dehumidifier.

I™€™ve had this unit now for a few weeks. It seems to be well engineered and well built. The co trolls are well laid out and easy to use. The water container has a very high capacity and is easy to remove and dump. The ™€œauto shutoff™€ works well when the co Rainer is full. My only complaint is the noise volume, wishing it was a little quieter.
